This page explains how California residents can exercise choices under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) and how eagleblack treats “sale” and “sharing” of personal information for advertising.

Your Rights Under CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know/Access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect and the purposes for which we use them.

  • Delete personal information we collected from you (subject to legal/operational exceptions, e.g., fraud prevention or transaction records).

  • Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

  • Opt-out of “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information (including cross-context behavioral advertising).

  • Limit use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information (we do not collect or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics).

  • Non-discrimination: We will not deny goods/services, charge different prices, or provide a different level or quality because you exercised a privacy right.

We aim to respond to verified requests within 45 days. If we need more time, we’ll notify you and may take an additional 45 days where permitted.

What Does “Selling Information” Mean?

Under California law:

  • “Sell” can include transferring personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration.

  • “Share” refers to cross-context behavioral advertising (using your information across different websites/services to target ads).

How eagleblack operates:

  • We do not sell personal information for money.

  • We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • We disclose limited information to service providers (e.g., payment processors, fraud-prevention tools, analytics used to improve our site, and shipping carriers) under contracts that restrict their use of the data to the services we request.

  • Typical categories processed to fulfill your order include identifiers (name, email, shipping address), commercial information (order details), and internet activity (device/cookie data used to run the site and detect fraud).

If our practices change in the future, we will update this page and honor your opt-out choices.

Opt-Out Request for Personal Information “Sale” or “Sharing”

You can submit an opt-out at any time. We will treat it as a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request.

How to opt out:

  1. Email Request
    Send an email to contact@eagleblack.net with the subject line “CCPA Opt-Out” and include:

    • Your full name

    • Email address used on our site

    • Any order number(s) (if available)

    • A brief note: “Please do not sell or share my personal information.”

  2. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
    If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat that signal as your opt-out for that browser. To apply across devices or emails, also submit the Email Request above.

  3. Cookies & Ads Preferences
    Adjust your browser or device settings to limit third-party cookies or ad identifiers. Preferences are browser/device-specific and may not carry over to other browsers or devices unless you repeat the steps.

Your opt-out will remain in effect unless you tell us otherwise.

Verification Process

To protect your information, we verify each request:

  • Matching information: We may ask you to confirm your email, provide an order number, or answer simple questions we can match to our records.

  • Authorized agents: If you use an agent, we require written authorization from you, or the agent must provide proof of a valid power of attorney. We may also ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

  • Frequency limits: You may submit two (2) know/access requests within a 12-month period. Opt-out requests are not limited.

If we cannot verify your request, we will explain why and what additional steps are needed.

Important Notes

  • Children’s data: We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will promptly remove it where required.

  • Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics, and we do not need an additional “limit” request for such data.

  • Service providers vs. third parties: Transfers to payment processors, shipping carriers, security and fraud-prevention partners, or analytics used to operate and improve our site are treated as service-provider disclosures, not sales.

  • Non-discrimination: Exercising a CCPA right will not result in price or service differences.

  • Record-keeping: We maintain records of CCPA requests and our responses as required by law.

  • Scope: This page is focused on California rights. Residents of other jurisdictions may have similar rights under their local laws; contact us for assistance.
